RA904: Weird Science and the Black Hole of Revenue Assurance
|
Everyone
knows that the secret to the success of every telco is in the
ability to deploy newer and better technologies faster than anyone
else.
But
the breakneck pace of rapid new technology deployment creates a
revenue management "black whole" that the revenue assurance
professional must eventually address.
Guarantee: You will learn the
current 'state of the art' of the latest technologies and business
models (3G, GPRS, Content, Femtocells, Radio-Side Rating and Virtual
Network Operations) and understand how to best assure the business
against revenue risk and loss.
Learn how to get "in
front" of new technology innovation and change BEFORE it creates
revenue assurance problems that you can't handle. Apply proven
methodologies to manage the new product development and new
technology deployment processes for maximum impact at minimum cost.
Duration:
1 day
Who Should Attend?
 | Revenue assurance professionals
interested in learning how to get involved and get in front of
new technology and new product development cycles
|
 | CFO's and Finance Managers
interested in understanding exactly WHY it is so difficult to
anticipate and assure revenues for new products and business
models |
 | People interested in learning
systematic methods for the structuring and shaping of new
product and new technology release cycles and implementing
controls UP FRONT that protect revenues downstream |
 | Revenue Assurance Professionals,
Regulators, Managers and Revenue Assurance professionals
interested in a detailed and exactly analysis of the "state of
the art" in 3G, GPRS, Fem-to-Cell, Virtual Network Operations,
Radio-Side Billing and other new technologies and business
models |
 | Revenue Assurance Professionals
interested in learning how revenue assurance professionals are
getting control of the New Product Development Process |
Overview:
This course provides a comprehensive
overview of the issues surrounding new technology deployment
(3G, GPRS, Fem-To-Cells), New Business and Billing Models
(Radio-Side Billing, Virtual Network Operations) and New
Product Development.
First we review several of the
most critical and prevelant technology areas, providing
students with an overview of what they are, how they work,
the alternatives for control and billing and a consideration
of the challenges of mapping them to existing traditional
billing and assurance architectures and models.
Critical to this evaluation will
be an understanding of the new technology deployment cycle.
From standards, to vendors, to pilots to deployment, we will
examine that way that critical control protocol, billing
model and operational compliance approaches continously
shift throughout the cycle. We will also examine the ways
that revenue assurance can assist developers in the
selection of the optimum paths in order to guarantee both
technical success, commercial success and market success.
After reviewing this "state of
the art" we will then proceed to review the GRAPA standard
defined domain/control areas including:
1. User acceptance testing
2. Billing and Assurance Architectural Compliance
3.
Market Assurance for new
